George grew up on the road in a real show business family. He and his sister, along with their parents entertained as a family of acrobats in the Kelly Miller Circus in the early 50's.They traveled throughout the south doing two and sometimes three shows a day, six days a week. At the age of 9 George and his family were the nightly featured act at the luxurious Condado Beach Hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico.

Later in life George's dad had a successful career in show business as a comedian. He was one of Johnnie Carson's favorite Guests on the "Tonight" show. He did a "Royal Command Performance" for the Queen at the Paladium in London. He also received the coveted "Golden Clown" award from Princess Grace, (Grace Kelly) at the Circus of Monte Carlo. He was featured in several major films, most notable, "Funny Bones", which also starred Jerry Lewis and Oliver Platt.

Moving around the country, George became "hooked" on early Rhythem & Blues and group harmony while living in New Orleans at the age of 12. He listened to the early black vocal groups and honkers. These groups seemed to bare their very souls with their performances. The Jacks, The Ravens, The Orioles, The Clovers, and the early Drifters.

In 1957 George george was in his first vocal quartet while living in Pittsburgh. It was a multi racial group that cut their teeth on the Del Vikings, The Diamonds, and the Heartbeats.

In 1959 while living in a "rough" Italian neighborhood in a suburb of Boston, george formed a group called "The Daythons," which took the name of a biblical character from the movie "The Ten Commandments." The Daythons recorded, performed live at local dances, and sang on the radio.

At the age of 17, George and his family migrated to The Calumet Region. While attending Calumet High School, George formed "the Starliters".

During the sixties George Sang and played guitar in coffee houses and clubs.

When "Rock and Roll Revival" shows begin to emerge all around the country in the seventies, George and some friends formed "Yesterday's Rhythm." This was a great a capella Doo Wop group. Over the next 12 years "Yesterday's Rhythm recorded two albums,, did radio and television commercials, and performed all over Chicagoland.

During this period George also mentored and sang with a dynamic young a capella group called "Five O' Clock Shadow." This group was a region favorite.

George describes "Harbor Lights" as a total culmination of all this experience from all of its members. "It is the most versatile group that I have ever sang with. Harbor Lights represent the purest form of the Doo Wop style. When you hear us perform live it sounds exactly like our recordings."
